If the Find My Mac app was not enabled, then the only way to track the MacBook is by its IP address. You can also check if the “Find My Mac” option is enabled in your Mac’s System Preferences. To find a Mac without iCloud, you can try using the Find My app on another Apple device, or logging into and using the Find My feature there. In this case, they lack the ability to track the laptop online from the iCloud account, and the question if it is possible at all to find Mac without iCloud. Also, a lot of users don’t think about the possibility of losing the MacBook until it’s too late. So, I can see how someone would not like to turn on Find My Mac app. The downside of this approach is that anyone with access to my iCloud account can track my location by checking where I used my devices last time.
